Children usually join the Senior Children’s Church at seven years of age and leave at twelve years of age, although they are welcome to remain with us longer if they feel led to do so.

The start of our time together usually takes the form of the children chatting briefly with one another. There is then an opening prayer, followed by conversation together. We share the happenings of the previous week and, indeed, future events in which the boys and girls hope to participate. It is good to get to know “Monday’s to Saturday’s child” as well as Sunday’s! Through this, we hope to emphasize God’s interest in everything else we do.

A passage of scripture is then shared, and the children might participate in reading God’s word. A theme for that Sunday is then introduced; the children are asked if they can think of something from everyday life or scripture to relate to that theme, and a short video will be shown relevant to the theme. This is followed by a quiz based on the scripture passage, and the fellowship will close in prayer.

Children leave during the morning church service to attend this meeting
